(UPDATE) 6 hurt in 2 blasts in Maguindanao

Dennis Carcamo - The Philippine Star

Six people were hurt on Monday after two explosions went off in Maguindanao province, a police official said.

Senior Superintendent Jaime Pido, Maguindanao provincial police director, said the victims were injured after the first improvised explosive device placed along the roadside went off in Datu Unsay town.

"May anim na tao ang nasaktan pero hindi kilala iyong mga nakatira doon kaya di ko nakuha ang mga pangalan," he said in a radio interview.

He said that around 10 to 20 minutes later, another explosion happened in Datu Saudi.

No one was hurt in the second blast, the police official said

"Sa ngayon, under investigation pa natin iyan...Wala pang maituturing na suspek kasi walang mag-witness na magsasabi na nakita nilang naglagay ng bomba," he added.
