The Philippine Star

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – Four people, three of them Chinese nationals, were hurt after their speedboat crashed into a bridge’s concrete post in Cagayan’s northern coastal town of Aparri yesterday.

Reports identified the injured as Marine Cpl. Richard Portugal, 29, and Chinese nationals Tsun Sio Bing, 42; Fu Wah Ching, 40; and Yan Tie Bing, 44.

The three Chinese reportedly came from their ship docked in Aparri and were on their way to the local market to buy food supplies when one of the foreigners steering the boat suddenly lost control of it, resulting in the accident. – Charlie Lagasca, Raymund Catindig
