MANILA, Philippines - The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) will seek the help of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) as well as local government officials and the media to facilitate the speedy arrest of 92 suspects in the 2009 Maguindanao massacre who are still at large.
The CIDG Special Investigation Task Group Maguindanao will also use social media such as Facebook and Twitter to reach out to the public for information on these suspects.
With the signing of the framework agreement with the MILF, the task force led by Senior Superintendent Keith Ernald Singian is confident they could take into custody suspects seeking refuge in MILF enclaves.
Maguindanao Gov. Ismael Mangudadatu joined CIDG officials in a press briefing on Monday on an update on the three-year-old massacre, where 57 people, including 32 media practitioners, were killed.
