Massacre suspect shot inside police car in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - The suspect in the massacre of three people inside a house in Manila was killed while being accompanied by police to the place where some of the items that he stole were being kept.

Nestor Delizalde Jr., the suspect in the killing of Teresa Tan, 60; her daughter Evelyn 40; and their maid Cristina Barola, 22, was shot inside the police car when he tried to wrestle a gun from one of the cops, a radio report said.

Delizalde bore a gunshot wound in the forehead. Police rushed him to Mother & Child Hospital in Binondo, but doctors could no longer revive the suspect.

Delizalde's three victims were found dead inside their residence on Yakal St., Sta. Cruz, Manila last Monday.

Manila policemen, however, have yet to disclose how many lawmen were with Delizalde, a barangay tanod in Sta. Cruz, Manila, when the shooting happened, the report added.
