Zambo Sur trader found dead a day after he was snatched

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – An insurance firm owner was seized last Monday and was found dead the next day in Tambulig town in Zamboanga del Sur, authorities said.

The victim was identified as Anwar Alvin Zainal, 34, owner of Security Pacific Insurance based in Pagadian City and also a car dealer.

Chief Superintendent Napoleon Estilles, regional police director, said Zainal was with his wife in his insurance firm when armed men took him and dragged him to a red vehicle.

The next day, a body found along the highway in Tambulig turned out to be Zainal’s based on an identification card.
