Ramil Bajo - The Philippine Star

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines – The Japanese embassy plans to build a conservation center  for  tarsiers found on Mt. Matutum in South Cotabato.

Angelyn Ileto, program officer for human security projects, told a radio interview here, that the embassy is also interested in developing the B’laan communities near the tarsiers’ forest habitat.

Ileto said B’laan natives could be a big help in preserving the tarsiers, which are threatened by illegal logging and farming.
