TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Bloodstains on his tricycle led to the arrest the other day in Cabarroguis, Quirino of a 30-year-old driver who killed his drinking mate in Isabela.
Police said the victim, Rogelio Balagbagan, 52, and the suspect, Reynaldo Tomines, both tricycle drivers, had a verbal tussle while drinking in a beerhouse in San Manuel, Isabela.
Tomines reportedly smashed Balagbagan’s head with a hollow block, and even drove his tricycle and ran over the victim several times to ensure his death.
Tomines escaped and brought his wife and child to Quirino. However, police in Barangay Gundaway, Cabarroguis town saw the bloodstains on his tricycle, leading to his arrest.
