Region 6 police units to put up PWD help desks

Jennifer P. Rendon - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Acknowledging the obstacles faced by persons with disabilities (PWDs), the Region 6 police will put up desks catering to their special needs and concerns in every police station all over Western Visayas.

Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz, regional police director, said the PWD help desks will be integrated with the Women and Children’s Protection Desk that was established in 2011 to attend to cases involving crimes against chastity, sexual harassment, abuses committed against women and children, and other similar offenses.
