Bulacan governor bet plans to withdraw

MALOLOS CITY, Philippines – A Bulacan gubernatorial candidate announced on Saturday his plan to withdraw his candidacy within this week. 

If the plan of independent bet Jaime Almera pushes through, the gubernatorial race will be a one-on-one battle between incumbent Gov. Wilhelmino Alvarado and Ernesto Balite, another independent candidate.

Almera bared his plan in his Facebook account, although he did not state the reasons for his withdrawal.
