Batangas palay buyer shot dead in Isabela

ILAGAN CITY, Philippines – A palay buyer from Lipa City, Batangas was shot dead while his companion was critically wounded by motorcycle-riding men in Ramon, Isabela last Tuesday night, police said.

Chief Inspector Vince Blancad, Ramon police chief, identified the fatality as Leo Saballa, 47. Saballa’s companion, Tony Dimaano, 32, remains in critical condition at a hospital in Santiago City.

Last Sunday, a barangay councilman in the adjoining town of Aurora was also gunned down by two motorcycle-riding men.
