2 suspected robbers killed in Laguna shootout

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – Two suspected robbers were killed in an alleged shootout with policemen along the national highway in Barangay Pagsawitan in Sta. Cruz town at past midnight yesterday.

Calabarzon police director Chief Superintendent James Melad said police recovered a grenade, a revolver and a Honda motorcycle with no plate number.

Melad said the suspects were responsible for recent robberies and murders based on the description of some of the victims.
