LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – Reelectionist Albay Gov. Joey Salceda is running unopposed.
“Winning is hard, thus running unopposed could only be the result of your support but doing good and serving well is hard for which I need more of your support,” Salceda said in an e-mail to The STAR.
“I have no political enemy. My only enemies are disasters, climate change and poverty,” he added.
Albay was declared a “hall of famer” and Legazpi City Gawad Kalasag awardee for disaster risk reduction and poverty alleviation programs by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Salceda was also recently elected as a representative to the 24-seat board of the United Nations Green Climate Fund for the developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
