5.4 quake rocks Zamboanga

MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-5.4 earthquake rocked Zamboanga City yesterday but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the tremor occurred at around 2:25 p.m. and was centered 10 kilometers southeast of Sergio Osmeña Sr., Zamboanga del Norte.
The temblor had a depth of 10 kms and was tectonic in origin.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Zamboanga City.
Phivolcs said aftershocks are expected from the quake.
