SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Central Luzon has ordered the integration of the P24 cost of living allowance (COLA) into the minimum wage of workers in the region, on top of another increase of P6 to P6.50 in their daily pay.
DOLE regional director Raymundo Agravante said while the integration of the P24 COLA would cover all minimum wage earners, the P6 increase would apply only to workers of establishments with total assets of overP30 million.
Those working for smaller establishments would get a higher P6.50 basic wage increase.
