BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – The water level at Magat Dam along the Isabela-Ifugao boundary remains stable despite the heavy rainfall in parts of the dam’s watershed areas.
As of 11 a.m. yesterday, National Irrigation Administration engineer Saturnino Tenedor, the dam’s flood forecasting chief, said Magat’s water level reached 190.83 meters, way below the critical level of 191 meters.
In fact, reports showed that the dam’s water outflow for irrigation purposes was even higher at 701 cubic meters per second than the water inflow, which was only 521 cubic meters per second.
