Body of missing Korean found in Pampanga

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines   – Police recovered the body of a Korean man in Barangay Sapang, Angeles City last Saturday. 

Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Recomono, Angeles City police director, said the body of Chung Yun Kwon, 42, was dug in the backyard of one of the houses at Timog Park Subdivision.

Kwon’s body was found wrapped in a comforter, tied with cloth and covered with cement.

The Korean went missing last Aug. 21. His relatives reported the incident to the anti-kidnapping group on Aug. 28. 

An informant tipped the anti-kidnapping group led by Senior Inspector Arnel Sagun on the location of the body. Together with Park Sang Jun, police attaché of the Korean embassy, they proceeded to the subdivision. 

Kwon was positively identified by his relatives.
