CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A police officer was killed while his wife was seriously wounded in an ambush in Infanta, Quezon Saturday night, reports said.
The slain cop, SPO1 Rommel Valera, a member of the Infanta police, died from multiple gunshot wounds while being treated at the CM Recto Hospital His wife, Amy, had bullet wounds in the right arm.
Police said Valera and his wife were on their way home aboard a motorcycle when they were waylaid by two men also onboard a motorbike.
