Mild quake hits Leyte

MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 2.5 earthquake rocked Ormoc City in Leyte yesterday but did not cause any damage or injuries, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tremor occurred at around 6:32 a.m. and was located 11 kilometers northeast of Ormoc City, where it was felt at Intensity 2.
Phivolcs also recorded a magnitude 2.8 tremor in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte yesterday, but it was not felt.
The epicenter of the quake was traced at 23 kms northwest of Pagudpud.
