CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – A P500,000 reward has been offered for information that could lead to the arrest of the killers of Dutch missionary Wilhemus JJ Lutz Geertman, who was killed in San Fernando last July 3.
“Anyone who can give the whereabouts of Geertman’s killers that could lead to their arrest, would automatically receive the reward,” Senior Superintendent Edgardo Tinio, Pampanga police provincial director, said.
Tinio did not say where the money would come from.
The Special Investigation Task Group Geertman recently filed charges of robbery with murder against one of the suspects in the killing after he was positively identified by a witness.
Tinio said the name of the suspect could not be divulged pending his arrest.
The witness said the gunman also pointed a short gun at him before fleeing.
Geertman was gunned down near the Alay Bahay Inc. office at the L&S subdivision in Barangay Telebastagan.
The victim, together with two companions, had just withdrawn P1.2 million from a bank in Angeles City. The suspects took the money and fled on a motorcycle.
