2 Koreans nabbed for rape of 2 Japanese in Cebu
MANILA, Philippines - Police operatives arrested two Korean nationals after they allegedly raped two Japanese women, both 20 years old, last Saturday in Cebu City.
Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Director Samuel Pagdilao Jr. identified the suspects as Carl Park, 21, and temporarily residing in Ibabao, Agus, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu; and Jong Duk Lee, 34, of Phase I, Block I, Lot 104, Collinwood, also in Lapu-Lapu City.
CIDG-Central Visayas chief Senior Superintendent Jose Pante said the victims went to the CIDG office in Cebu at around 6 a.m. last Saturday to file rape complaints against the two Koreans.
The victims told CIDG investigators that they became friends with the two suspects, who invited them for a dinner at a mall after which they had a drinking session.
The victims said the suspects brought them to a motel, where they were sexually abused, when they felt dizzy after consuming two bottles of tequila and a few bottles of beer.
