Ma kills 2 kids

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – A 24-year-old mother has confessed to the killing of her two daughters, aged one and three years old.

Mira Lacson said she drowned her children in a canal at a sugarcane field in Barangay Calapi, Hinigaran town, Negros Occidental.

 An autopsy report, however, showed that the two children died of suffocation. Their bodies bore strangulation marks, a police report said.

Police report said that prior to the incident, the suspect had an altercation with her mother, Violita, due to the former’s alleged neglect of her children.

The quarrel prompted the suspect to leave their house at 3 p.m. with her children.

Mira admitted killing her children when her mother looked for them at around 6:30 p.m.
