N. Vizcaya turns 173

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines  – This landlocked province, the threshold to Cagayan Valley, kicked off yesterday its five-day festivities leading to its 173rd founding anniversary on May 24.

The celebration, dubbed Grand Ammungan Festival, began with the formal opening of an agro-industrial trade fair showcasing the province’s agricultural products, tourism destinations and diverse culture.

A highlight of the festivities is the search for Saniata ti Tribu Biscayano (Miss Nueva Vizcaya 2012) to be held at the capitol’s Peoples Stage on May 22.

On May 24, all roads lead to this capital where various tribes from both the upland and lowland areas would converge at the Clisoc field for the annual grand parade.
