MANILA, Philippines - Four people, including a village chief and a policeman, were killed and four others were wounded in a shooting incident that disrupted a beauty pageant in Iloilo City yesterday.
Police said a fundraising pageant called Ms. Summer Babe 2012 was being held at a covered court in Barangay Tacas, Jaro district when the shooting occurred at around 12:10 a.m. yesterday.
The incident reportedly stemmed from complaints on the fees charged on those watching the event.
The fatalities were identified as Barangay Tacas chairman Rolando Tabuada, 41; PO3 Jerome Jaculina, 34; his cousin Remy Jaculina, 29; and bystander Avelino Sabidales, 54.
