MANILA, Philippines - Police have launched a massive manhunt for two suspects in the foiled slay try on a collector of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in Cagayan de Oro City.
Director Samuel Pagdilao Jr., chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), said he has dispatched tracker teams to Mindanao to hunt down the suspects, Rey Romo Laban and Timoteo Semine following the filing of frustrated murder charges against them before the local prosecutor’s office.
The two, said to be guns-for-hire, were positively identified by lawyer Emelito Aquino as among those who shot him.
Aquino, 41, Customs collector at the Mindanao Container Port, was on his way home when he was shot by two motorcycle-riding men last March 1.
