LAGUNA, Philippines – A ranking New People’s Army (NPA) officer tagged as one of the principle suspects in the 2006 kidnap-slay of a former military man in Quezon, was arrested at a checkpoint in Sta. Cruz, Laguna last Saturday morning, the military said.
Capt. Gene Orense, Army spokesman, said the arrested suspect, Alexander Arias, alias Ka Adan and Doroy, was a finance officer of the NPA’s Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee.
Arias was tagged in the kidnap-slay of former Pfc. Edelberto Eclavia.
