BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – Six people were killed in separate incidents in Isabela on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
Three persons riding two motorcycles suffered multiple injuries when they bumped into each other in Ramon town’s Barangay General Aguinaldo at around 2:30 p.m. Friday.
The fatalities were identified as Jessie Reyes, 20; Chris Ivan Gorospe, 18; and Gaudencio del Rosario, 64. Christian del Rosario remains in critical condition.
A police report stated that the victims just came from a picnic near the Magat Dam.
Two persons were also killed in separate shooting incidents in Cauayan City and San Manuel town last Thursday.
Bernard Agraam, 48, was allegedly shot dead by Rowel Quebral, 36, reportedly the chairman of the city’s Barangay Dianao, where the incident took place.
Wilfredo Alsate, a former fireman of San Manuel town, was riding his motorcycle when shot dead by unidentified gunmen at around 4:30 p.m. Alsate’s companion, Ernesto Mendiola, a former policeman, was also seriously hurt.
Also last Thursday, Arturo Prudenciano III of Quirino’s Maddela town, drowned at the Villa Diana Resort in Cordon town. – Charlie Lagasca, Raymund Catindig
