Mindoro Grade 6 honor student raped, strangled

CALAPAN CITY ,Philippines  – A 12-year-old Grade 6 student in Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro failed to graduate with honors yesterday, as she was found dead, raped and strangled, on Thursday, two days after she was reported missing.

The body of the victim, Anna Jamina Cabatac, of the Mamburao Central Elementary School, was dumped in a canal in Barangay Tayamaan, Mamburao town. 

Medico-legal findings showed that the victim was raped before she was strangled.
