Ilagan cityhood gets Senate nod

- Raymund Catindig, Charlie Lagasca -

ILAGAN, Isabela  ,Philippines – After nearly two decades of trying, this provincial capital town is again on the threshold of cityhood, with its proponents confident to make it this time.

This, after the Senate local government committee led by Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. approved House Bill 5917 seeking the conversion of this town into a city.

The bill, authored by first district Rep. Rodolfo Albano Jr., was passed by the House of Represenatives last year.
