MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 4 earthquake struck Negros Oriental at around 10:34 yesterday, state seismologists said.
The tremor’s epicenter was traced at 14 kilometers northwest of La Libertad, Negros Oriental. It was felt at Intensity 3 in Tayasan and Ayungon towns, and Intensity 2 in Iloilo City.
As of yesterday morning, there had been 2,079 aftershocks in Negros Oriental since the Feb. 6 magnitude 6.9 quake that left 50 people dead and heavily damaged bridges, roads and buildings in the province.
