Suspected hazardous fluids seized

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines  – Authorities have seized 233 drums of suspected hazardous fluids and 750 busted fluorescent bulbs in an abandoned lot in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

“We were told about the presence of the chemicals in the vacant lot, which when left untreated may endanger and pollute the environment of Cavite,” Dasmariñas Mayor Jennifer Barzaga said.

Barzaga sought the help of Azzions Recycling Solution Inc., which specializes in hauling hazardous wastes, to take hold of the seized hazardous fluids.

Barzaga has ordered the police to unmask those behind the dumping of the suspected hazardous fluids.
