BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya ,Philippines – The family of a slain former mayor of a Nueva Ecija town has raised reward money for information leading to the arrest of one of his suspected assailants.
The family of former Carranglan town mayor Restituto Abad, reports said, put up P100,000 reward with the hope that it would help expedite the arrest of one Jonathan Carpio, one of the suspects in Abad’s killing two weeks ago.
The Carranglan town council has also expressed plans to come up with a similar reward for Carpio’s arrest. A second suspect, Jose Berlino Pascual Gonzales, is now in police custody.
