3 drug pushers killed in ambush

BATANGAS ,Philippines  – Three suspected drug pushers were killed while another was wounded when unidentified gunmen in Nasugbu town shot them after attending a court hearing Wednesday afternoon.

Chief Inspector Renato Mercado, Nasugbu police chief, identified the victims as Felipe Torio, 55; Lydia de Vera Torio, 55; and Arnold Dulay, 35, all residents of Sitio Roxas Village in Barangay Lumbangan.

Alejandro Torio de Vera, 35, is being treated at the Apacible Memorial District Hospital.

Reports said the victims were riding a tricycle on their way home, when at least four hooded gunmen shot at them.

Scene of the crime operatives recovered 41 pieces of spent shells of a caliber .45 pistol from the crime scene.
