MALOLOS CITY, Philippines – The Bulacan provincial board suspended on Tuesday for six months Mayor Ronaldo Flores of the mountain town of Donya Remedios Trinidad with 6-3 vote with four members absent.
Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando said the decision is immediately executory after Gov. Wilhelmino Alvarado signs it.
For more than three months, the provincial board investigated charges of conflict of interest and violation of environmental laws filed against Flores, a first-time mayor.
