4 drown in Cagayan River

TUGUEGARAO CITY ,Philippines – Four residents of Barangay Divisoria in Sta. Maria town in Isabela drowned in Cagayan River on Friday.
Police identified the victims as Michael Alayban, 28, and his younger siblings Marlon, 22, Ignacio, 18 and Mildred.
Chief Inspector Jacinto Tuddao said the victims went to the river to wash themselves after attending the burial of their grandfather, which is customary among Ilocanos.
The victims were swept away by the strong current of the river.
