BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – A pre-dawn magnitude 4 quake hit northern Cagayan yesterday with the epicenter traced 23 kilometers off the province’s mainland.
Reports said the quake, which was tectonic in origin and 15 km deep, was generally felt at around 2 a.m. in the Calayan group of islands in Calayan town near the Babuyan Channel.
