NPAs torch dump truck in Davao

-

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Three suspected New People’s Army (NPA) guerrillas burned a dump truck in San Isidro, Davao Oriental Thursday night, police said.

According to the Southern Mindanao police, the truck, owned by Oz WisPhil Co., was about to dump waste from a coconut husk company in Barangay Manikling when it was torched.

Police said the rebels ordered the truck driver, Andrade Indires, and his two helpers, Johnny Calapiz and Rolando Rica, to disembark before they poured gasoline on the vehicle and set it on fire.

The insurgents then fled toward Barangay Dugmanon, also in San Isidro town.
