MANILA, Philippines - Nineteen farmers in Negros Occidental became the recent beneficiaries of the government’s agrarian reform program after they were installed in the 4.8-hectare Hacienda Grande in La Castellana town.
Provincial agrarian reform officer Gideon Yongque Jr., accompanied by La Castellana police chief Allan Reloj and other local officials, led the turnover of the agricultural land in Barangay Robles formerly owned by Ma. Rosa Suatengco.
