P.6-M shabu seized, 5 nabbed in Bulacan raid

- Reinir Padua -

MANILA, Philippines - Shabu worth P600,000 was seized during a raid on an illegal drug “tiangge” (flea market) in Plaridel, Bulacan early morning yesterday.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) also arrested five allegedly notorious operators of drug dens during the raid which yielded 60 grams of shabu.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Jose Gutierrez Jr. identified the arrested suspects as Rizza Jacinto, Rodolfo Tinea, Rowena Jacinto, Dabio Bondoc, and Fernando Fernando.

“Illegal drug transaction in this compound (in Barangay Banga) is really at its peak. You need not ask where you can buy. Bystanders would even offer you merchandise. There are others brave enough who even requested one of our undercover agents to share (a joint),” Gutierrez said in a statement.

“The more alarming thing is that minors are being exploited as runners,” Gutierrez added.

Gutierrez said Rizza Jacinto, tagged as the “shabu queen” in the area, yielded some 50 grams of shabu.
