DATU ODIN, Maguindanao ,Philippines – The Maguindanao police is facing a blank wall on the whereabouts of the gunmen who kidnapped and killed an antiques trader from Mandaluyong City here last week.
Two of the arrested suspects who have confessed to their role in the kidnapping of Dominador Mendoza Berdin, 53, refused to provide information that could lead to the arrest of their cohorts, police said.
Policemen and Marines fished out Berdin’s body at Kinagatan River in nearby Cotabato City on Saturday.
“It appears he was duped by the suspects, lured into the hotel where he was kidnapped,” said Senior Inspector Lendsy Sinsuat, chief of the municipal police.
Sinsuat said the gunmen who seized Berdin was led by a certain Mods.
