Isabela trader loses P7 M to robbers

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Viizcaya ,Philippines  – A Filipino-Chinese businesswoman here lost P7 million worth of money, checks and valuables when unidentified suspects broke into her house on Friday.

Reports identified the victim as Jesusa Uy, 80, of Barangay Centor Dos. The victim lost some P1 million in cash, P5 million in checks and another P1 million worth of jewelry.

Chief Inspector Jaime Narne, town police chief, said the victim discovered that her attaché case containing the cash, checks and other valuables at a cabinet in her bedroom was missing when she arrived home at around 5:30 p.m.
