Notorious drug suspect falls in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO CITY ,Philippines  – An alleged notorious drug pusher, who is number six in the “order of battle” of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, was arrested in a sting operation in Barangay Plaridel in this city over the weekend.

Police identified the suspect as Nestor Alcantara, 21, also a resident of Barangay Plaridel.

More than nine kilos of dried marijuana leaves were seized from the suspect.

Alcantara is the first drug personality apprehended in the region after Chief Superintendent Rodrigo de Gracia, Cagayan Valley police director, offered a P20,000 cash incentive for every civilian or law enforcer who would effect the arrest of a drug pusher or drug trader in the region.
