Pampanga cooperatives commended

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga ,Philippines  – Gov. Lilia Pineda urged local cooperatives to continue their contributions to the development of the province as she lauded their role in providing livelihood opportunities.

“I am impressed with what you have done. I would like to congratulate all of you. May you continue to grow and help more of our constituents,” she said at the awarding ceremony for the 28 top cooperatives in the province held recently at the Benigno Aquino Jr. Memorial Hall at the capitol compound.

The governor said she was impressed with the total assets of Pampanga cooperatives, which at P1.722 billion was even bigger than that of rural banks.
