MANILA, Philippines - The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) donated the other day a generator set and satellite phones to boost the capabilities of the government in responding to disasters.
WFP deputy country director Asaka Nyangara said they donated a generator set, four sets of satellite phones and 30 life jackets to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
The items would be turned over to the local government of Dinapigue, Isabela, one of the areas severely hit by recent typhoons “Pedring” and “Quiel.”
