Cash reward up in Laguna massacre
LAGUNA, Philippines – Gov. Jeorge “ER” Ejercito yesterday offered a P25,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the third suspect in the massacre of a couple and two of their children in San Pablo City last Oct. 12.
Senior Superintendent Gilbert Cruz, Laguna police director, said the reward would encourage the public to report the whereabouts of suspect Elmor Tambuong Jr.
Cruz said Ejercito announced the reward during the burial of Bay Rendon, 40, his wife Maricel, 24, and their children Jay-Em, 7, and two-month-old Marijoy at the San Pablo City public cemetery last Sunday morning.
Two other Rendon children, Maricel, 8, and Jomari, 5, were wounded in the attack.
Two other suspects, Elmor Tambuong Sr. and his son Ernie, were earlier arrested and charged.
