Lanao village chief slain

DAPITAN CITY, Zamboanga del Norte ,Philippines  – An educational tour to this city by a group of Lanao del Norte barangay officials and employees turned into tragedy when one of the village chairmen was gunned down while another was seriously wounded by two unidentified motorcycle-riding armed men last Friday.

A police report identified the fatality as Jason Cabahug, 38, barangay head of San Miguel, Lala, and the wounded as Aramundo Palubon, 52, village chief of Upper Santa Cruz.

A certain Elias Esnade, 28, was also seriously hurt when he was hit by stray bullets.
