SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines – The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has joined the growing number of international and local donors to victims of flooding in this province.
Gov. Lilia Pineda said UNICEF representatives Vanessa Tobin, Nonoy Fajardo, Tim Grieve, Grace Agcaoili and Angela Travis have turned over to her office 500 health kits and 500 water kits for distribution to flood victims.
The Unicef representatives also dispatched 500 health kits, 500 water kits and 500 pieces of plastic mats to the municipal government of Masantol and 560 health kits, 560 water kits and 560 plastic mats more to the local government of Macabebe which are the most flooded in Pam–panga.
Pineda said six other international organizations earlier sent representatives to this flood-ravaged province to find out how they could be of help.
The foreign representatives were from International Organization for Migration, World Food Program, MERLIN, World Health Organization, United Nations Fund for Population Activities and Adventist Development and Relief Agency.
