2 injured in Bulacan plane crash

MALOLOS CITY, Philippines – A two-seater Cessna 152 training plane crashed into a rice field in Pulilan, Bulacan yesterday, causing injuries to its pilot and passenger, both United Arab Emirates nationals.

Reports reaching Senior Superintendent Fernando Mendez, Bulacan police director, only identified as the instructor pilot as one Alocbathi and his passenger, a certain Karunakaran.

Witnesses said the plane, owned by AMA Air, crashed into a rice field in Barangay Balatong-A, about two to three kilometers from the Pulilan town proper, just before noon yesterday. – Dino Balabo, Ric Sapnu
