Bacolod City, Philippines - – The cash reward for anyone who can give information leading to the arrest of the killers of radio block timer Neil Jimena is now P810,000.
Iloilo Press Club president Rommel Ynion, in a statement, said a Bacolod-based businessman, whom he did not identify, offered another P200,000 to the bounty.
Ynion earlier offered a P500,000 reward for the arrest of the suspects, while the National Press Club offered P100,000. Panay News publisher Danny Fajardo offered another P10,000.
Jimena, who was gunned down in E.B. Magalona last Aug. 22, was buried Sunday in San Rafael town in Iloilo.
Murder charges have been filed against two suspects in Jimena’s killing.
Senior Superintendent Allan Guisihan, Negros Occidental police provincial director and chairman of Task Force Jimena said Jimena’s wife and daughter filed the charges Friday before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
