TALISAY CITY, Cebu, Philippines – Some 200 pigs were roasted while others died of suffocation when an early morning fire yesterday totally razed a rattan factory, part of which was made into a piggery.
About 80 to 100 of the pigs were supposedly scheduled to be sold today, said Maximo Lisondra Jr., owner of the piggery in Barangay Biasong, Talisay City.
The fire also damaged Lisondra’s house adjoining the factory. – Ria Mae Booc/The Freeman
