MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Red Cross is providing water facilities to areas worst hit by typhoon “Juaning” in Albay.
The local Red Cross chapter is currently setting up three bladder units, two stationary and one for distribution in Oas town.
Each bladder unit has a capacity of 5,000 liters that can supply more than 3,000 families in 23 barangays in Poblacion and Mayon Unit in Oas in the next two to three weeks.
Landslides and flooding caused heavy damage to water pipelines in Oas, affecting the water supply. The Red Cross has also made available its mini vans for water distribution.
